Sports massage and soft tissue therapy
Sports massage is a form of soft tissue therapy. The name sports massage can be misleading, as you don’t have to be an athlete or have a sporting related injury to require a sports massage. Sports massage incorporates relaxation techniques, stretching, soft tissue mobilisation, trigger point therapy, MET and myofascial release to relieve muscular tension, reduce pain, break down adhesions, aid recovery and maintain healthy tissue.
I’m a mobile therapist, so I carry out my treatments from the comfort of your own home. I also travel to Gloucestershire once a month for treatments in the Bristol area.
I also offer massage on yoga retreats. If you’re a yoga teacher or retreat facilitator, click here to find out more.
Initial consultation
On your first treatment, you will receive a consultation where we will review posture and range of movement to examine expected range, pain/discomfort and muscle weakness/injury. We will discuss your goals and what you would like to achieve from your massage treatment.

1.5 hour treatment

Massage for disability
I also offer massage for people with disabilities. I have my Care Certificate and I’m First Aid and NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) trained and have experience massaging adults with learning disabilities in the Northam and Bideford area.
